Just wanted to give my peace on my Benchmade Crooked River. I haven't owned a Becnchmade in years due to some QC issues in the pass. I have been getting back into knife collecting and was missing a axis style lock. I was given a gift card and pulled the trigger and ordered the Crooked River, hoping for a good one. I received the knife and unboxed it, very beautiful knife. Inspected the knife and blade was a little off centered and has significant side to side play. No vertical play at all so I figured just adjust the pivot a little. I ended up tightening down the pivot all the way and slowly adjusting it loose. No matter what I do I can't get rid of the side to side play. Just disappointed at the fact that I purchased a $200 plus dollar not getting good quality control. I have purchased Twosuns at half the price with perfect action, centering, and zero play. Just my two cents.

Bummer!!

I have China made Spyderco and Taiwan made Cold steel wirh zero play at 1/3 the price.

It is always disappointing to pay the made in America prices on a quality knife and have defects.

I have the same results as you have.
