what do you guys have to say about the Benchmade CSK II? I`ve searched a lot about this knife and couldn`t find anything.
seems like a nice knife for 60 dollars, cheaper than the fallkniven A1, and even cheaper than the cold steel srk and it`s made in the usa with a good steel.
does anyone here own a CSK II to tell us more about it?

Blade design looks just like my S1, which is great! Personally I prefer a more corrosion resistant steel for a survival knife, but that kinda depends on where you live :)

So far I love it. It's the go to knife for me lately. It has chopped, cut, sliced, batonned, and retained its edge. Only issue I could see, but have not had, is that the handle could cause blisters eventually, but did not do so with me. Good luck. I did review it previously, you can look at my previous posts for it. Best thing is how quick in the hand it has been.

thanks for the info guys.
smash, I couldn`t search your previous posts cause i`m no paying member, and didn`t found your review using google. can you give me a link?

I've wanted one from the day I saw it, the only problem is the re-release of Becker knives (which will happen someday, hopefully soon).

It seems like every manufacturer has one of these six inch, 3/16" thick, rubber handle knives. I've got the old "made in the USA" Cold Steel Carbon V version.

Anyone know which manufacturer put out the first one ?

Since it is a drop point style, and fairly ambiguous that would be hard to determine. Using a rubber like handle is an old trick as well. Figuring out who did it first, who knows - probably a custom maker who said " I wonder if this will work . . ."

I thought Gerber were the first to use the rubber handles. Maybe someone else did it before they came out with the LMF/BMF? They were the first ones I ever saw anyway...

Cold Steel did it better though. And Swamp Rat does it better yet.

Some don't like the rubber handle thing but I think it is one of the top 5 innovations in knives in the last 20yrs or so...
