Benchmade Deep Carry Clips?

I picked up a Benchmade 940-2 a couple weeks ago... love the knife. I traditionally have used deep carry clips on my previous knives, but this is my first Benchmade. I immediately called Benchmade and got the deep carry in the mail, then on the knife.

Compared to the standard 940 clip, my deep carry seems super weak and doesn't hold the knife in the pocket as well as the standard. I'm worried it will easily fall out or get snagged without even alerting me. Is this standard for all you who have swapped these clips? Did I just get one that's unusually weak?

(Ps I did take it off and try bending/tightening it up a bit without marking it up and wasn't able to make much change. If my own mods are required to get it to retain properly, then I'll up the tools applied.)

I always bend mine. But do it carefully.

I use a pair of pliers and cover the clip with a cloth.

The deep carry clip has less tension than the standard clip. Just bend it a bit and it will hold fine.

Yep less tension. Mines wearing a silver one but they sent black also per my request
