Just wanted to know where I can find the full-sized Rittergrip in M2??
Thanks...

I don't know, but let us know when you do find it...:D

Seriously, it was a limited edition from a few years ago, the only place where you can find one is on eBay or on a Forum like this. Prepare your checkbook, though, they are highly collectible.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the S30V Ritter Grip!!

great steel....easier to find and way easier on the wallet:thumbup:

(I do love M2 also)

I totally agree with Andy. As an EDC, I would actually prefer the stone-washed S30V blade because it does not scratch as easily as the coated one, and it is stainless. I never had any chipping problems with mine, and the flat grind makes it a real slicer.
Then, if you want to get rid of some extra bucks, you can always get one of these and loose the cheap plastic grips:

The M2 Ritter's are worth seeking out, they surface from time to time, but expect to spend $300 on up for one, esp. if new in box.

I'm pretty sure the top grip is Kevin Wilkins. But who did the bottom one? I think I need one of those.
Thanks in advance.

Jason

Jason, the bottom one is made by a German company called Cuscadi (or CSD), they are extremely nice and ship to the US. You will probably deal with Luke, his English is perfect and they can make virtually any scale you want. They also cost about a third less than the Wilkins grips.

That's alot of money for that knife. Way too much actually, IMO!

I say this considering benchmade will replace blades in the grips for around $30 I believe. You could get a new Ritter for around $120 and have the blade replaced many times over through the years before approaching that $300 for the M2.

Is one M2 blade better than something like 5 x S30V ones? I don't think so!

I just dealt with Luke getting a Trance with carbon scales for my little brother's graduation present. He is a great guy!

And boy....my new ritter grip is aching for some carbon scales....that knife is beautiful!!

Lorenzo, i assume the knife gets a bit thinner with the cuscadi grips, could you give me some insight on that?

Here are a couple more pictures where you see the knife from a different perspective. I would not say it is thinner than the standard grip, but the custom scales are flat.

And finally, next to a 710, also with custom CSD scales in ebony and CF backspacer:

You can only use one knife at a time, so yes.

I can fully understand why an M2 Ritter Grip would go for $300. That's cheaper than the over-hyped Sebenza, and the RSK is a better knife , IMO ;)

I don't, I paid less than half that for a brand new one, and I will pay about the same for an M4 version. There is no reason for a user grip to cost $300, that's like saying beanie babies were worth that much because of all you could do with them.

If not the m2 version for 300+.....is the s30v version (Doug Ritter RSK MK1 Knife w/ Black Coated Blade--$135) from aeromedix the way to go??

the stone wash does look good.....but for some reason I seem to be into the all black (stealth) look with my knife purchases lately ....does the ritter grip from aeromedix a good deal for the s30v?

Because you like black. I have both and will admit to using the stone wash more but its nice to have a choice. Also have an m2 but dont use it much. Heres a scary thought. I have a black coat partially serrated that sees a lot of pocket time.
Any way you look at it Ritters are a great knife.
