Thoughts, info, pics etc. on Benchmade Emerson Spec War CQC models. Sorry if this has been covered before. I did a forum search and come up with nothing.

I had one a long time ago. As I recall, it was nice. I lost it some time ago and when I started to research it, it led me here.

I've got one and I love it. Smooth as silk, solid lockup, perfect centering. The grey finish on the blade really looks nice.

Anyone know of any counterfeits? I have seen them with the Emerson logo with SPEC WAR MODEL CQC7 underneath. Also with Emerson logo with words Emerson Design underneath. Looking for all info I can find.

Not sure if you were thanking me, but if you were you're welcome. They are great knives. I have the large 975, and the small version 970, I think. I was hoping someone on this forum could tell me about production numbers, years produced etc. EmersonRep you got any info?

I bid on a nice 975 plain edge last night on the Bay but got outbid. Probably by someone here.......

I saw that one. I'm pretty sure there are a couple more coming up very soon too. I was busy winning another bid though. I wasn't into the Benchmade Emersons.

Don't you hate when that happens. I've started to return the favor. Ain't gonna get it cheap on my watch haha.

LOL

A while back, I was bidding on a brand new/in the box CQC-12 on ebay. I really wanted it, it was the older model with the silver cerakoted blade and no serrations. I had been searching for that EXACT knife for some time, but every time I bid some other clown immediately outbid me by a dollar or so.

I finally bid $1000 with ebay doing the auto-bid thing. The other bidder stopped trying to out bid me for a while at that point. I knew exactly when the auction was going to end, so I opened the ebay page on one of my PC's and kept hitting my F5 key as the bidding came to the end.

I watched the other guy start trying to outbid me as the auction came to the end. In the last few minutes he frantically bid something like 20 times upping his bid by $1 each time. When the auction came to the end, I won it as ebay entered a bid for me of $275 which was one dollar more than his last bid LOL.
