Anyone been there, and if so, is it worth it. I will be traveling through next month and have a chance to stop. Gal on the phone said they don't sell blems or seconds.

Any info on this?

I was there a couple of years ago. They will sell to you but at full retail out of respect for their dealers. Nice folks tho. Did an on the spot repair of one of my BM's. Greydog.

Was there last year. They have alot of proto's sometimes and dico'd product. It is worth the stop if it is not too far out of your way. they do sell it for full retail but some of this hard to find stuff is worth it.

Full retail is what I expected, but it will be lunch time when I pass through and time to stop anyway.

I imagine they would frown on dumpster diving ;)

They are nice people, but not that nice. By the way, they let you handle anything out in the cases. That is nice cause some of the new ones I never played with.

Some pictures would be nice.Even better if you could persaude them to give you a tour.

Planned on taking pics of the inside of the store, but not a tour (I'll have - as my mom would have said - the whole fam damily with me). I'll see what I can do.

Unless I see something extraordinary, I don't think I can bring myself to pay full retail for anything. Maybe they have mugs / tshirts that I can get and post on the gear exchange.

And as far as blems go - I know that they do exist and they do something with them.

The Buck factory store sells blems and they are marked with "FS" for factory second.

Spyderco sells blems at the annual factory store sale in November. These are marked with a little half round notch on the top of the blade near the thumb hole.

Cold steel sells seconds that are marked with a "2" burned into the end of the handle.

SOG sells blems (although I don't have any). I did call them once and they will give you the price for blems over the phone. Don't know how they are marked.

You would have to get in touch with an employee - a mole - for this information I suppose.
