Benchmade Field Knife Sharpener

It's not a tool anyone should sharpen their knife with... It is responsible for the death of thousands of knives, don't let yours become another victim.

Buy a stone and try to wipe the bad image of this benchmade atrocity out of your head.

It looks like with a bit of modification, you could adjust the angle of the carbide cutters to match your knife? Similar principle as the ERU.

If so, it may not be as bad as some others where the carbide blades are fixed.

Not that I'm recommending it or would ever use one.

The fact that the guy demoing it in the video, won't even pull the knife thru... probably says it all.

Yep. Gotta give credit to the reviewer, in that even he recommends not using the pull-through carbide cutter for better knives, unless one is 'in a bind'. I'd have to be in a severe bind to even think about it, and even then, I'd still be looking for another solution. As luck would have it, that 'better solution' would be the diamond rod at the other end of the tool, assuming no other options are available. No more bind, problem solved, crisis averted.
