Hey guys, new to the forums. I've been checking out these two online but am unable to find them locally. Have any of you handled both? If so what's your opinion of the best handling of the two? They'll be EDC'd replacing my folder. I'm leaning towards the Benchmade for the double edge and slightly longer blade, but if it's uncomfortable in the hand that's a strike. Thanks

Without second guessing your interests, is there any reason why these are your choices? Depending on what you're looking for, I'm guessing there are better performing knives in EDC than either of these for a given price point.

Neither of these companies offer great value for the money, and both of these designs are tactical models which may not excel for most EDC uses. In particular, the double edged infidel will suck for all cutting tasks that aren't stabs.

I've carried knives all over the world for 30 years so I know a thing or two. Have you have handled either? That's the question. If not, move on.

Without second-guessing, allow me to assume what you want this knife for: it's definitely not anything tactical, although both these knives are clearly for that purpose. Have you considered my personal favorite knife? My tastes are surely better and more well-informed than yours.

Since nobody seems to be chiming in with real info, I guess it's time to start drowning the OP in 2¢ increments. Generally speaking I find a tanto to be the most versatile blade shape, but I don't know what you will be using it for. Emerson gives me douche chills and my OCD won't accept a blade that's only ground on one side, despite any benefits to that design. Because this is all about ME and what I like!
