I just wanted to tell everyone their is a BM forum knife Rift on e-bay. Man I like the Rift. Hope it does not go to high. It is m4 and carbon fiber.

If there Is one it's in the combo pack of three CF based models and at a starting price of $699. Look for 'Benchmade 950'.

IMO: to me it's sad to see any of these 300 pieces up for auction, basically given to us (who were Forum members and on the list) at $180 now selling for far more than that. These are keepers, and I don't think there will be another Forum knife for a long time after what it took to get these made for Roger's KW.

Yes, there's another up since this afternoon starting at $200. Good luck...these are very nice knives, Gold Class quality too.

So glad I was able to score one of these. Such an awesome design, finest materials, perfect fit and finish. Should've bought two.

I've bought about a dozen or so various forum knives. Luckily, I've not gone through enough hardship and needed to sell them. Free market or whatever, it's sad when that happens for folks that do want to keep it.

I traded for it kinda thought it would be to nice to use. I thought a collector might want it more than me. I ordered another regular 154CM model. Did I mess up?

Edit: That didnt come out right.
removed......... :p

Will give it another try at Blade 2013 for 2014.
Will see.

Yes and no. MCM busted his butt to get the forum knife done, and it is an awesome knife of Gold Class quality and a very-not-Gold Class price. In the end, I couldn't bring myself to use something that was designed for hard use but screamed "dress knife!" in the aesthetics dept. Since I don't keep safe queens, I sold it to Skimo for what I had in it, and he has had no qualms about putting it to good use.

A fellow forumite mentioned wanting the CF handles with a 154CM blade, and I PM'd him trying to talk him into swapping blades with me, so he could keep the classy CF/satin hardware and have a good user 154CM blade (and I'd have my marroon/black G10 scales with a good M4 blade), but he wouldn't bite (can't say I blame him, really, but a guy can hope...)

Yes, you did.
I donated a couple hundred hours geting that one made.
Asked Les at dinner during the 2012 Shot show, and was shocked when he said OK.

MCM, I have to admit, I'm just not a huge Rift fan, so I decided not to get one of the forum knives... but I respect and appreciate the heck out of you for how much you do to help get some awesome LE runs out the door. The 806, 710, and 730 KW specials in M390 are hands-down my all-time favorite BMs. Got a 710DLC-1 in my pocket right now, and that pic is making me appreciate the 730-1202 back home even more.

Just so all here know.
MCM did not choose the model, steel or any of the specifics here.
These are not necessarily his personal favorites.
This is not a knife designed by MCM.
It was all voted on by Forum members on the BM Forum, before production.
But, please understand that nothing, absolutely nothing, would have happened with out MCM.
I know many have said it before.
But, I'll say it again thank you MCM!
You're awesome!
Keep up the great work. ;)

Exactly. It took a lot of trial and error to come up with the final design, and the result of a lot of polling and, well, bickering at times; but what we came up with was from all of the hard work from everyone involved. During the process it was interesting to see how many friends were made, and yes, lost by one solitary knife. Kudos have already been said, but I would also like to acknowledge MCM, Trailboss, and a host of others for this project's successful outcome.

Yeah, I know how it all happened - but I've also seen the threads where he and TB hammered out details and logistics, and I'm sure more went on behind the scenes that I didn't see.

Basically, that's what I was trying to say. :)

Yeah loony, no problems using it at all! :) luckily I had you looking our for me... No idea how I missed all the conversation on that, great user.
