Thinkn about adding one to my arsenal, I like the Spyderco Yojimbo but would like a longer blade. this 1 might fit the need. This would be my first Benchmade, just wish it was S-30V. any input on this blade would be appreciated.

I've had one for 2 weeks and I really like it. I think it'll fit your wants very well, given your statement about liking the Yojimbo but wanting a longer blade. The 425 blade is very nice. The G10 on the 425 is smoother than the Yojimbo, not as grippy, but the handle ergos and the big serrated thumb ramp allow for a very good grip on the 425. I don't have all that much real word cutting use to comment on after 2 weeks, but suffice it to say I don't image the 425 would ever come up short for any of my needs. Plus I just love the way it looks.

Something to know in case it matters to you, not that you wouldn't expect it from a linerlock, but there's pretty much zero detent on closing the blade.

Also, if you want a really good price on one check out New Graham.
