I've had this knife now for a few weeks, and I'm just blown away. Back in June, I passed one up at the Bladeshow, but I'm so glad I eventually bought this knife.
This is just amazing as a work knife... it takes (and maintains) a mean edge.
Real solid, fit and finish is great, blade nice and centered as well.
This is my first Benchmade.. and I'm loving this knife!

The Griptilian family of blades in my opinion as well, are the most well rounded work knives on the market. The Axis lock makes it easy to use with gloves, in the frigid temperatures, with greasy hands and of course, single-handedly.

The 555 was my first Benchmade and the first "nice knife" I ever bought. Congrats and use her wisely!

I want the sheepsfoot version, love the blade scales too. Congrats on finding a keeper.

I have a couple of Grips and the 550-1 (CPM-20CV, Sheepsfoot, 'Spydie hole', grey G10 variant) is my favourite of the lot. ;)

I don't think you'd regret pulling the trigger on one...

My grip was my first nice knife I'd bought I ten years and got me back into knife buying/collecting.

Got one from the custom shop for my son last year.
Sheepsfoot with our German Shepherd's name engraved on the blade......it has been in his pocket every day!
Just one of the best all around users ther is!
Enjoy it.........what's next???
:D

The large Grip in general is by far my favorite knife. I've got five and always looking to add a new steel to the mix.

Congrats. I've had a few different versions of the griptillian and they all were extremely comfortable in hand. You can really do a lot of hard cutting (if you have too) with ease. My wife even has one and she prefers it over countless other ones at her disposal. Hard to beat at any price point.

Presidio 2 was my next.... just got it today! What a beast! Gonna put it through work first time tomorrow.

I'm not sure if my 550-1 is a lucky example or not, but it's a great piece and among my favorites all of the time. Every time I get it out, I am happy I have it.

The 550-1 was the Benchmade that made me love Benchmade again.
I have had mine since May and it has become my all-purpose, all-occasions Primary Folder.
The CPM-20CV is just about the perfect folder steel for my uses, I have not managed to dull it in any noticeable way and it seems immune to my acid sweat, I have caused some folders to rust in a few days just from pocket carry around humid CenTex.
It has my highest recommendations for a general purpose folder, simple, elegant, and extremely rugged.
Only possible improvements would be:
A- add more color choices for the G10 and solid backspacer/linerless options. (AKA Build your own Grip)
B-Thin out the grind and give it a nice polished finish instead of the standard fairly low grit finish.
C- Find a way to make it a flipper without ruining the lines.

Love my grip, but I must say I was kinda surpriced when one of the springs snapped after 2 months of carry. This boosted the ranking of my two other favourite EDC's; small Sebenza and a ZDP Delica.

Now I have a set of spare springs lying around, thanks to the great Benchmade customer service. But I think I want to try to make my own from stainless steel memory wire, reason beeing I think it will be more durable.

MAN!!! I'm loving this new Presidio 2... my second Benchmade.
I've had this knife on me 3 days now... unreal how this knife works.
The edge I get on this is like a razor.
This knife is everything I'd hoped my Sebenza would be.
