All right. Well to start off, I bought a Benchmade Griptilian 551S after owning a Benchmade Vex and not liking it. So I carried it a few times and it bit me really good on my finger. So I kind of shoved it into the back of the pile. Well, after over half a year I decided to give it another try because I see a lot of people love them, this is my first tip up knife and so I was weary after being bit. Well, a few weeks ago I decided to break it down and loctite the clip screws and take the blade out and clean the insides and lube up the blade, pivot and washers. It worked well and I loctited the pivot screw, but then I realized I had a bit of blade play in it from side to side. It drove me up a wall until I redid it today, knowing what i did wrong last time. I put less lube so pocket lint doesn't collect all over everything, put loctite back on the screw, and made sure it was absolutely perfect. Have you guys done anything like this? Do you like your griptilian? I think it's a decent knife but I'm not crazy about the handles. I'll deal though it seems like a beast.
