Hey, I bought a black griptilian (older model but new) and I find my blade gets wiggle when I flick it in and out because the screws in the handle become a little loose. Anybody have that probably? Also are those t-6 screws in the handle? because I think one got stripped somehow or doesn't work like the other torx screws?

Thanks,

Gideon

Yep, get some blue threadlocker and add a little to the screws (follow the instructions on the package). Let the knife sit over night and it will be good. This happens quite often on the pivot bolt, more than the handles. What you can also do, send it into Benchmade and let them take care of it. They will replace the damaged screws, and anything else that is not right with the knife. From what I've read consistently, they have great customer service.

I got beat by a few seconds....

Lock-tite (blue) on pivot threads and let dry after adjusting blade tension. If you have a stripped screw call BM and they may send you some. If you have a stripped liner, you will have to send it in for a replacement liner.

I hate sending stuff to the United States. The liner isn't issue, I think it is the head of the knife, but I will appeal blue loc tite to the screws. Surprisingly it isn't the pivot knife though, seems to be the screws in the handle which is weird lol

Do they charge extra if you ask them to loc-tite the screws, when you send it in for service? I wonder if they also provide carbonization of the screws/moving parts as well?

I have a similar problem except the actual steel liner frame seems to wiggle in the handle as if it has just worn the frn a bit.
