Hello everybody, Julian from J's Knives-N-More here with a quick question......

Is the display knife below an actual griptilian? If so, I'm tempted to buying one when money gets better and just cutting the cord and having a clear handled griptilian :D

Thanks in advance, J.

I believe it is real, but the handle material is not as tough or durable as the regular stuff. The blade may not have a real edge, either. It's been a long while since I read a discussion on it.

Yep, it's an actual Grip. As yablanowitz said, the handle material isn't as strong as the normal Noryl GTX, so I wouldn't put it to any hard use. But I think it would be great for light EDC tasks, and certainly for display.

I remember reading someone's review after buying one a few years ago, and I seem to recall it not having a sharpened edge. But if you're comfortable reprofiling blades, I see no reason why you couldn't put this Grip to use.

Those were counter display "demo" knives.

Clear handles, so you could see how the Axis lock worked, and the blades were not sharpened (and probably not heat treated).
