Today I want to make a comparison between the Spyderco Manix 80 and the Benchmade Griptilian

my comparison will be based just on my impressions of use, nothing scientific; Ill give a score to each knife to quantify my impressions.
The Spyderco Manix 80 handled

The Benchmade Griptilian handled

Ok lets start.
Ill do a tent peg with the Griptilian

Now, a trigger using the Griptilian

Cutting efficiency score: 8,5/10
Handle comfort: 8,5/10
A tent peg using the Manix 80

And a trigger using the Manix 80

Cutting efficiency score: 8,5/10
Handle comfort: 8,0/10
Final score:
- Benchmade Griptilian 17,0/20
- Spyderco Manix 80 16,5/20
Conclusions:
both these knives are just great. Great cutting efficiency, well made, the feeling is both are really effordable

The blades are really different, the blade of the Manix is a bit thicker and higher than the blade of the Griptilian, anyway both are really efficient in cutting and carving wood

The handles are really different too, the handle of the Manix is more squared, and is less comfortable in front to the handle of the Griptilian, Im not saying its bad, just not good as the Griptilians handle

Ciao,
Alfredo
