Benchmade Hard Anodizing

I'm thinking about picking up a benchmade auto, but I have a few concerns about the hard anodizing on the handles. Is it like the chalky Protech style finish that'll scuff if you so much as breath on it, or is it more like microtech's newer anodizing that is kind of shiny and smooth? I won't be able to carry this in public where I live, so it's going to be more of a novelty/around-the-house EDC that I won't want to get super scuffed up.

I don't have any Protechs but I'm not seeing a significant difference between my Benchmade 2550 and my Microtech socom elite. I don't think it's hard anodized. You sure it's hard anodized? Besides I don't think the surface finnish has something to do with wear resistance. I have matt ,semi-matt, chalky and smooth black anodized flashlights and they are all hard anodized. Eventually every anodization will wear off after time.
