So I recently realized Benchmade has a "Heckler and Koch" line. I really like the look of some of their blades and I'm wondering if they are built to the same standards that other Benchmades are made to. Is there a decrease in quality to go along with the slightly lower prices? Any opinions or experiences regarding the Benchmade Heckler and Koch line would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

all i have from the benchmade hk line
is the instigator
benchmade-hk-instigator-neck-knife-full-tang-bp1-coated-14536bp-74-B.jpg

which till date, i m still satisfied with.
being a fixed blade,
it has no moving parts
so qc for this model in generally
is centered upon the perfect execution of its grinds.

only my fault that i missed
is a cosmetic flaw in the blade's coated finishing
which was slightly worn
(donno it that was due to shelf wear or a qc slip)
no matter though.
no major problems there,
it came shaving sharp right outta the box.
since it's practically for sd application,
i don't foresee any breakdowns in this unit
for the price of my life.

I have a few HK knives and they are all pretty good. The detent on my Monochrome isn't perfect, but for it only being $15 it is pretty good. They are made to the same quality, if not. a little better generally, than the Chinese Spyderco or Kershaw knives.

I have a couple HM fixed blades, but no folders, and benchmade folders but no fixed. Therefore I can not give a direct comparison but I will say I have been happy with my hk models. There are still different levels among each branding as far as price and I'm sure quality will be related to price, at least within each brand.

One of my absolute favorite knives of all time is the Benchmade-HK 14255 Tanto. Exquisite blade. Unfortunately it is discontinued. I have no experience with newer HK knives.

I have an older Snody designed HK in 154CM that is domestically produced and screams quality. It's been a great little knife over the years.I don't have any modern HK knives, but if I did purchase one in the current lineup it would be the Nitrous Blitz .....

I have been exceptionally pleased with the HK Ascender. Discontinued but you can still find them. Great value for the money.

The Ascender has excellent F&F, decent steel and the three I've had all had smooth solid lock up.

I also think the Monochrome is about is good as you can get for the money in a smaller sized knife.

I think the HK line up in general offers good quality and value in what would be considered BM's "Budget" line and also has a few standouts too.

That is one of my favorites as well.

The fit and finish on mine is great. I don't know about any of the newer ones though

14210 is one of the best knives I think Benchmade ever put out. Butter smooth and beefy yet thin and carries very well.

The 14205 is one of my favorites. I don't know how it got disco'd it really is a great knife and one of the smoothest folders I own.
