Benchmade help

Hi guy's I have a question. I have a small fixed blade Benchmade from the 70 's with "Tom" stamped above the Benchmade letters. The knife is highly polished with full tang, and bird's eye maple. It looks like a custom trout & bird knife, with a flat leather pocket sized case. Any idea who Tom is? Or it's value?

Third, Benchmade didn't exist in the '70s. Either you're mistaken about the date, or mistaken about the brand.

Forth, values cannot be given unless you're a Gold member or higher, because asking value can be interpreted as fishing for people who might buy your knife, and only Gold members and higher can sell here.

Benchmade has never made many fixed blades, but my guess is that the TOM is just an engraving. Benchmade made a bird and trout knife, here is the link: http://www.benchmade.com/products/192
