Has anyone heard of that knife, or had experience with it? It looks remarkably affordable for a titanium framelock.

Hasn't been out very long, it's a new 2012 model IIRC. But I think made in China and 9cr13 steel, hence the price point.

I wish the whole "made in china" thing wasn't such a deal breaker.

Not that it's a deal breaker it just mainly causes a lower price point and often (actually very often depending on brand name) causes lower quality (much lower usually) than USA made / German made / Japanese made.

I thought it was kind of odd that they're using what seem to be top-end handle materials (titanium and G10) and then using really low-end steel (8cr25or6to4).

The steel according to the specs is 9CR13 although for the price they should have used at least 9cr18.

NVM my sarcasm meter is off, but yes I agree if Boker can do Chinese folder in VG10 and titanium. why cant BM?
