Im looking at getting one of these to replace a mora clipper that is starting to realy wind me up (sheath retention does not work anymore, and when it's hanging off my belt people ask loads of questions.) as a rule im using it for small stuff (cutting cord/tape, occasional wood carving that sort of thing) so I dont need a full blown bushcraft knife, just something fixed blade, discreet, fairly tough and with good retention (preferably i would like to be able to hang it upside-down occasionaly, without having to worry about it falling on my foot).

Is the instigator up to the job?

If the instigator isn't suitable would the gamer be a better choise?

I like Snody's designs - all of them - but I don;t like chisel grinds. Have you looked at the BM 210TK Snody? That's a nice one if the blade is not too small for you.

blade length is fine. but its too expensive (at least here in the uk) and the kydex sheathed version does not appear to be available.
