Is there any chance Benchmade can send out replacement parts? I broke the blade on my 551 and they want me to send them my knife. The problem is that I'm not from the US and I have to pay $85 just for the shipping. That's crazy.
 
Benchmade has sent me thumb studs and omega springs before. I doubt they will send a blade though. I’d have a word with your local BM importer / distributer and see if they can organize something for you. I think BM would be more comfortable sending a blade to a business partner that has confirmed the blade is broken rather than some random guy in a foreign country.
 
I live in France and Benchmade send me replacement parts (screws and pocket clip) twice at no charge. It took a while for the parts to arrive tough and it was a bit of a gamble as I had no way to track them.
 
Wow....Benchmade won't ship knives outside the US but they will ship parts. Good to know.
