Benchmade Knife deal

There is a online deal for the Benchmade Snody Fixed-Blade Knife, its 50 bucks down from 179 bucks with g-10 handle......How does this knife compare with the Rat RC-3 and is50 bucks trulely a good deal for this knife?

I dont think I would get any BM product over a RAT. The RC-3 is way better than BM and the warranty is way better. I beat the hell out of my RC-3 just because I know it will be replaced if I break it. That is one hell of a company!

I think that the RC series from RAT will serve you much better than the Benchmade; the warranty, high carbon steel, and overall design are just fantastic.

From my experience, you can hardly beat the RAT Cutlery product on the market with any other production (and hardly any custom) knife or knvies.

I got mine for less than $100.

I love Benchmade but I love RAT way more. Better knives, better warranty, better people. And that's saying something. Get an Izula--I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I think $50 is a good deal for the Benchmade Snody.
It depends on what you want though.... the fixed Snody isn't going to do the heavy-duty tasks that the RAT will do.
For around the house type stuff, the Benchmade Snody will be fine. For out in the woods, camping, fishing, etc kind of stuff - get the RAT.

Ah. I read it too quickly.

Still, you can get a RC-3 for well under $100, and it is a steal at that.

I think the Snody is an excellent knife, but I sold mine because the handle was too small for me.

Also, I don't think there is any appreciable difference in quality between the Benchmade Snody and a RAT RC3.

Both very high quality, USA made knives.

I hear they're Super. They Fly out of the sheath. They're small enough to hide in your Afro.
