Benchmade Knife Identification

I was given this knife around 8 years ago by a co-worker before he moved to a state where he didn’t think he could take it. I carry it from time to time, and enjoy the weight of the knife.

I have been trying to find out if it is a legitimate bench made, and a model number, but haven’t had any success. There isn’t a model number on the blade, so I think it’s either older or a knock off. Can anyone identify it?

yeah, sorry but that’s fake. if it makes you feel any better it’s a fairly rare fake, i’ve only seek that one a couple times

Out of curiosity, what is the number underneath the butterfly? I can't make it out in the picture, but it looks like there's something there. That's where Benchmade puts their model numbers, you can Google "Benchmade ###" and it'll show you whatever model they thought they were knocking off.

^^Yes, I tried to see if I could make out the number but alas, couldn't. It does look like a nice knife however, and an auto to boot. I'd just keep it and use it. It doesn't owe you anything.
