I am interested in buying the benchmade 14300, its discontinues but looks like a beefy knife..any reviews on it....

Why do a search..when the fine folks here give the best advice...I trust the people who review knives on this forum compared to any other....

There is a search feature at the top of the page that works better than google. But he was asking for a review or some insight, not to be told to search for some info.

Telling someone to search is not helpful. If you don't have anything to add or don't like the thread, why bother posting?

Maybe all new threads should be locked with a message at the top of the page to use the search to find info, since just about every topic has been covered at some point already? Or not.

All i want is a review on bladeforums on the benchmade 14300, surely someone used it at sometime in the knife career.

People were suggesting you search through posts on bladeforums, rather than asking. I did a quick search and nothing came up as far as reviews are concerned. I have the H&K 14200, similar handle with a different blade shape.

Personally, I don't really like the 14300 blade shape, it looks like a drop point blade was broken and a quickie regrind was done on the tip.

There is one review in Italian on You Tube.

BM says 440c steel,(others say N690) steel liners, zytel handles, liner lock.

Comes in right onder 3" if blade length is of any import.

Well worth the asking price.

Blade HQ selling for $41, knifeworks selling for $37.95

Those were the first two places I looked, while I'm not a fan of liner locks (I'm an axis nut) I have found no real issues with Benchmades liner locks.

I could find no written reviews.

This is interesting. I just looked up the knife on KnifeWorks. It has a Snody look to it, blade and handle. Nice compact carry knife. But the text says 440C and the specs below the text say N690 -- both decent steels, and one may have been switched for the other. The blade is just over 1/7" and the handle has full steel liners. Should be pretty sturdy.

Dan, I can't personally tell you anything, given my lack of experience with it, but from what I'm looking at here, it has got to be worth the money. It really looks like a decent mid-size carry knife, like a Spydie Native.

I'm going to move the thread to Knife Reviews & Testing, just in case one of the denizens of that cave have anything to add. :)

Thanks guys...i have a vendor that has it on sale for 37.50, so it does look like a sturdy knife..blade looks beefy yet slim for the pocket....i am going for it,... but if anyone want to chime in with another review..it would be welcome
