I bought 3 knifes from an Asian Gift shop in the mall $70 each. They had Benchmade bali-song butterflly engraved and came in benchmade boxes with warranty paper. Later I saw someone who reported buying counterfit benchmades that looked exactly the same. Does anyone know about these knives? one looked just like a model 259. one was skeletonized and the other solid black.

You do realize that you have not provided any useful information. With no clear pictures, what do you expect people to say to you?

I hope they threw in some rubber nunchucks.. but yea post some more info/pics for help

Well, judging by the sound of things, i would contact Benchmade and let them know of the knock offs, because well, there's no way that they're actual Benchmade Balisongs for $70.

I've never met a knock off I couldn't spot, F&F are the most obvious clues that they were probably knock offs, next the price should've been a dead giveaway, if ya research the knives ya wanna buy instead of jumpin' on what ya think is a good deal you'll save your money and can buy the real deal when you've saved enough.

Learn what a quality knife looks like, go to local knife/gun shows and handle legitimate knives, it don't cost to touch 'em, then when ya pick up a knock off you'll recognize the difference.

If it were me that some how was duped into buyin' expensive knock offs, I would stick them on my dresser so every mornin' I'd be reminded of the dumb mistake I made, then I'd make damn sure it never happened again.

Yes I found someone else who came across the same exact thing. These are great pics. Unfortunately I returned mine before taking any. There was one other one with solid black handles. I informed the shop owner of the laws with regard to counterfeiting in THIS country and demanded my money back. I also called Benchmade and they said they would look into it. I just want to spread the word so more newbees like me don't get taken. I recently bought the Kimura V,VI and VII polished and couldn't be happier with the quality. thanks for reading and check out the pics this guy took.
