Benchmade Kukri at BLADE?

BladeHQ innocently tweeted this casual bombshell of the new Sibert designs, without mentioning what appears to be a Benchmade Kukri underneath it. Anyone know about this?:confused:

Hey, nice observation. Looks interesting for sure, more info is definitely needed.
 
Probably like their straight razor, not intended for mass production.
 
Can anyone who went to BLADE elaborate on this? Maybe Benchmade themselves? I'm surprised more people aren't interested!
 
Never mind the ordinary, I want one; 440C would be just fine...but what would it cost and If it's actually in the 'works'. :rolleyes:
 
i think i have seen the kukri in the benchmade factory tour iirc in part 4, where the guy gets shown theese holycraparetheeseawesome new goldclass knives. can't tell if i'm right right now. but this thought came to me while i read this and my reception is quite bad right now. so can't check it atm.

it was sheathed, but its contours were definitely kukri-ish

The kukri in the display is a concept prototype. The blade is 154cm, the handles are orange G10 & black micarta. blade length is 8"
