An update to a previous thread: I sent my poorly ground 710 axis back to Benchmade and they fixed it in about a week. They sent it back to me 2-day UPS, with perfect grinds. They even cleaned out some lint and they're sending me a check to reimburse my for my postage. (They waived the $5 ship-back fee earlier.)
Anyway, I'm pretty impressed at the quality and the turnaround. It's too bad that BM didn't send out my knife with an edge like this on the first try, but now I'm not hesitant to get another BM.

Cool. I just fix mine with the Edge Pro Apex.

Excellent. I retract my statement of my questioning of the BM factory staff. Wish they'd be that good more often.

Pure speculation: I wonder if they purposely undersharpen their knives to prevent people from suing them for manufacturer liability, like that idiot who spilled hot coffee on herself and then sued McDonald's for a million dollars.

I know there are a couple of incidents where I accidentally closed my razor-sharp SOG on my thumb and gave myself some nasty knicks.
