benchmade lifesharp

has anyone cashed in on benchmade's lifesharp warantee program? i was thinking about sending my 551 combo back to be sharpened. it's got some flat spots and the serrations are tricky.

any experience?

i like the new finish on their blades and i'm not the most experienced sharpener. i'd hate to leave scratches in the flat of the blade.

thanks for any input.
 
they're good about looking over you knife and replacing and sharpening whats needed, but THEY DONT SHARPEN SERRATIONS
 
Yes, that's lame of them....

I bought my Griptilian and was told about LifeSharp, but the salesperson didn't mention that....
 
They will make you happy. I have known a lot of my customers who have sent them back and got them back and loved how Benchmade sharpened and cleaned the knives.
I had one customer who blew his up. We sent it back (in 3 bend up peices) and low and behold they sent them a brand new knife. No charge.
 
got mine back from lifesharp today. I am very excited to go home and see how they did!-
 
Benchmade Lifesharp rocks. I sent my 550 Grip in to get sharpened and the replaced the nylatron washers with new bronze phosphorous ones for no extra charge. Angie from Benchmade is the best.
 
I emailed the Angel Angie after the reading posts about how she had helped sort out other forumites BM's.I told her that i wasnt the original owner but there where a couple of small problems .She replied promptly and said NO problem.Drop her a line and you will be a happy camper

I used the Benchmade LifeSharp service once for a brand-new knife that had a small ding in the blade and turn-around time was about two weeks. Unfortunately the knife was returned with a clear clamp mark in the BT coating on the spine. I've never heard of this before so maybe I was unlucky.
