Yeah. I was told it was "built like a tank" and it isn't. The handle is, but the blade is a little thin for what I wanted to do with it. I wanted something I could really beat the doodoo out of and this knife is definately not intended for that. That's OK. It's probably better this way. I would have made some Benchmade collector cry. ;)

it is built like a tank. but a small tank.

the liners are almost the same size as the S2K :)

Well, I figured out what the appropriate price is for this knife and changed it accordingly. I hope some people revisit this thread. :o

I just got a refund on (of all things) an Al Mar Nomad. To be honest - it felt flimsy compared to a 705. The blade shape is interesting, but the liner lock is NOT on par with an S2K and the one I got had vertical blade play and would not pass a spine whack test. The fit and finish on this Al Mar just wasn't up to that of other ones I have owned and certainly isn't up to the 705.
