Benchmade liner locks...

If your comparing only the locking mechanism then no. For me there's no other locking mechanism I like better then the AXIS .I believe it offers the best combination of ease of use, strength, reliability, and longevity of any other locking mechanism.

That said, I love BM liner locks! My first and all time favorite BM is the 800 AFCK. In fact all of the BM liner locks I own are among my favorites. From my original AFCK to my most recent 757 Vicar.

I think there's room for variety in their line up and they do all their locks very well!

One of the favorites the 804BT II AFCK Liner Lock

I grew up with linerlocks. There's nothing wrong with the Walker design and no springs to break!

The only liner lock I have is a Benchmade: A 812S-LH mini-AFCK with a left-handed liner lock. Other than that, it is Axis lock all the way for me (the APB is on the list of must-try) due to being left-handed.

This is one of my prizes; NIB 800HS. I also own an 800 and 812, then add a NIB 350. (and others...) Variety in locking mechanisms is all part of Benchmade's history.

...and then there's the 905 and 910, also the rare 910SCG. Photos are in that order:
