This for the guys who may be carrying a BM that has blade steel of M2.
If you decide to trim someones Ficas tree for them with your knife, you better clean the edge especilly and then oil it. The milky sap from these ornamentals will cause immediate corrosion on the bevel. If you stick it in your pocket and leave it for very long it will be a mess.

I've treated my BM M2 blade edges with the Marine Tuf-Cloth prior to any serious use and have had no probs. Never tried them on a Ficas tree, though.
