this is the b.m. m390 sharpened by ankerson
it's really hard for a novice photographer to capture a mirror edge to show the fantastic bevel polishing. a hearty thank you to ankerson for the excellent job.

Dennis,

Uhh...whoa.

Have you done any of Ankerson's phonebook paper push cuts with it?

I bet it cuts just fine...

Best,

Heekma

Dennis,

Glad you are happy, hope you didn't cut yourself yet. :D

I am really really close to buying on of these.. does the corrosion resistance compare to VG-10? If so I am definitely buying it. also can the factory edge be maintained with the sharpmaker?

It's not too bad, but if you want to get a better pic (which I would like to see, of course ;)), use a tripod and don't hold the knife in your hands. Make sure to use good lighting, preferably outdoor lighting. If not, use a flash (indoor lighting might be enough for your eyes and mine, but not for a camera.)

If you don't have a tripod, then prop your elbows on your table.

Or you know, put an open book on the table, balance the knife on it, then take a picture and the print should show off how polished the edge is.
