Benchmade Marc Lee Glory fixing. Chips and sharpening

I just received a Marc Lee Glory Knife that I purchased used online. The knife was advertised as excellent condition, however, upon receiving the item, it was obviously used fairly hard. The are numerous small chips on the edge.

Would the 1" Edgepro stones be too wide to handle this task, or should I look at getting the 1/2" stones?
