I don't have a 585 but I think its a good EDC folder if you want a chunky 3" AO. I like 154CM and the handle has a nice contour to it. As often noted however, the handle does have a cheaper hollow plasticky feel to it. Nothing wrong with it, just the feel. My bro has a 580 that feels like that.

I do have a 586. It costs quite a bit more than the 585, and to me is worth the higher price. M390 is one of my favorite blade steels, the G10 handle and Ali bolsters looks and feels so much better. To me anyway.
Also the blade grind is better than the 585, more of a slicer while still being a stout blade.

Are you considering buying one?
