Its still a bit oversized all around on the lock side and needs some further refinement but I needed to eat so I took some scans of it as it is at quitting time today in the shop just to post them. I will finish this one tomorrow I'm sure.

I started to make a clip of my own but BenchMade did such a super job with this one from the factory that I just reused it. I'll have to rebend it a little to bring it down to touch the folder frame since I don't have any way of cutting out the inlayed recess they put in the original G10 handle scale.

Its gone from being a .047 thick stainless liner lock to a .135 thick 6AL-4V titanium frame lock and the real beauty of this conversion is that it can be put right back together in its factory configuration if one wanted to which means no permanent modification has taken place with the folder. It weighs in currently at 3.5 ounces which is pretty close I think to what it will be when I finish trimming it out. We'll know tomorrow.

Thanks for looking.

Fantastic work!

Your mod fixes probably the only thing that is stopping me from picking up a DejaVoo.

It looks amazing.

Thanks. I pretty much finished it out tonight. I'll post some digital pics of it in the sun tomorrow.

Ok feast your eyes. This one is pretty nice I think. Nice and beefy, plenty thick at the lock, lots of eye appeal and still all the beauty of the original. Final weight is 3.4 ounces so I did take a bit off of it to finish it out. All it took to make the clip retain like normal was a very subtle bend in it to bring it down on the body of the folder. Worked like a charm and then I bead blasted the clip and opposing liner to match. While at it I bead blasted the G10 handle scale also. This one is a done deal.

Thanks for the commments and for checking out my forum guys.

Rawr!

I love it.

My favourite builds are the combination G10+titanium ones -- nice, warm and soft on the G10 side, strong and rigid on the titanium framelock side.

Great work.

Thanks for sharing!

I know a friend of mine that would love this done to his. He hates the liner lock.

By the way, that looks awesome. It makes me wonder how a 745 would look done with both sides in Ti and anodized a nice blue or green color. :)

If you own the knife already I can do one similar to this one here for you for $165 plus shipping while my supply of titanium lasts. Everytime I buy it the price changes so its only good while this sheet is still capable of providing enough material for the knives.

To do both sides is going to run upwards of $240 my friend since its double the ti, and all the hardware will undobutedly have to be shortened to work, and it will mean even more hard a$$ grinding than the one side which is a bear all by its lonesome but it certainly can be done.

Oh, and if you want it done with one of my signiture low rider clips add $25 to either price. Those prices are for the original clip, mounted in the original tip down position. Flipping the clip on the knife to tip up is probably not feesible because of the curvature of the handle by the way. I thought of that when I did this one but finally gave up trying to find a place to put it for tip up carry. I figure it can be done but not with this clip I don't think.

Thanks guys.
