I watched videos on yt, plenty of sexy pics and still don't know. Which one is better?

I must admit that I like design of 818 more, it's more elegant. But I'm afraid that his handle is less comfortable.

I would take the Spyderco over the Benchmade every day of the week, but that's just me.

No experience with either of them, but to me the 818 looks like it'd be insanely comfortable to hold. The curve seems like it'd lock up pretty damn well in your palm. I know most people that nabbed one were happy with their purchase, but the same can be said with the Shaman. It's gets a lot of love.

Personally I'd go with the Mini Loco, just because the Shaman looks like a Manix with a compression lock(that's not necessarily a bad thing). The Loco is pretty unique. Tough choice no matter what.

The weight makes me lean a little toward the BM but the blade shape and handle ergos make me say Shaman.

Depends on what you plan on using the knife for. Personally I prefer straighter handles like on the shaman to handles with a dropped butt as on the Loco. I find they allow for a wider variety of grips.

Whereas the handles on the loco are more comfortable only in the grips the handle forces.

They are both great knives though.

Can't go wrong with either choice really. I'd go Shaman. I've come to appreciate and love the front, finger choil on Spyderco's. 4 way pocket clip is nice too.

Had both, ditched the shaman. Only reason being, I know a sprint is around the corner. Both are great knives, can't go wrong with either.

The Shaman has a very, very comfortable handle. I’m actually a pretty big fan of its ergonomics. That said, I’m going to get rid of mine as soon as I get around to posting it. Don’t like the blade shape. If you like the blade shape, it’s a very comfortable knife. Especially for the size.

Had both. Shaman is a good knife. Pm2 action out of the box was better. That said the mini loco action is on par with the pm2. Very comforatable, more usable blade, small sharpening choil, no need for finger choil. Blade is .14 which is the same as quite a few spydercos, its thick but not loco thick. (.16) Drop shut, fun to flick. Still my favorite over the pm2 and pm3. Found shaman has a certain angle it likes to be flicked opened, mini loco doesnt care. Just sold my shaman or id post a pick with the two. I believe it has the deep carry clip, so at least you dont have to pay 25 or 30 bucks for one.

I'd go Mini Loco.

The Shaman seems like it's got a few compromises and will be perfect when it's a Shaman 2.

The main offenders being the top of the finger choil hitting your finger tip when you close the knife and the high rise clip placement.

I think they could have found a way to get the blade to be more nested in the handle when folded too.

I do love the blade grind and compression lock in general, so it's close.
