Benchmade Mini Reflex... Black or satin blade???

has anyone had experience with the black coating on the benchmade mini reflex? does it wear off easily or look cheap? would go black or satin, and why???

I've had both variations of that specific knife. And both have held up well. I think it's really just personal preference.

I've had Benchmade's with t coating and without. The coating is very robust but it will scratch and wear off on the edges depending on how you use the knife (ie cutting into a beer can will scratch it). If over time the t coat looks like crap you can always remove the rest of it with finish remover or a brillo pad and you will have a nice satin finish. The biggest pro to t coat is that it keeps the blade from rusting. The satin finish will rust pretty easily.
