has anyone had any first hand experience with the benchmade mini rukus? I have an opportunity to get one but I'm not sure how the action is, I have a contego which I love but it has a much thicker blade stock so I can dial it in to the exact point where the blade drops shut with minimal side to side blade play. Watched some videos on it but I'm not 100% convinced.

I already have the rukus auto and like the handle shape but I just don't know how well it's gonna work as a axis lock folder

Great knife. I have #160 from the first run. It's a tank, tho', fairly heavy. The spearpoint blade is a fantastic cutter. It was my first knife with S30V steel, as well as my first with the ingenious Axis lock, and I've never regretted buying it. It fits into that "if I only had one knife" category.

Yeah I'm gonna got for it, getting it for a decent enough price that I won't have a problem selling it off if I don't like it.

Love that handle and if benchmade ever brought out one with a thumb hole I'd be all over it too, that slanted groove on the handle would be perfect for it.

I have one and it's beat up from heavy use, but it's been reliable on the Axis lock, a great cutter, easy to to get to hair popping sharp. And I love the ergos and grip on this blade, that was the main appeal for me.

Just for all the guys that chimed in many thanks I just got the knife today;) I'm thourghly impressed and a bit surprised how much I like and glad I got it!! I'll be selling off my BM non confirmation to cover the costs for it as I don't really like auto knives much but loved the handle and now I have the best of both worlds.

Never owned one but have come damn close to stealing it from one of my friends on many occasions. :D

One BM I wished I had bought back in the day.

Go for it.

The mini Rukus is a great knife! One of my favorite designs. Based off of Neil Blackwood's henchman design.

I used to have the forest green one, and it's one of the few knives i would buy again if i had a chance. The smoothest Benchmade I've owned.
I have med size hands and thought the grip was extremely comfortable, the g10 and entire knife build was top notch, and it has a great blade shape imo.

Hi! I have this one with green G10 handles. A truly fantastic knife for me :). Wrote something about it some times ago here. Good catch! Congratulation and enjoy it !
