Hi, I just picked up my first ever Benchmade folder from a local Gumtree-type advert and I have to say I'm impressed. I got it for £80 (around $100) which seemed seriously reasonable, as it came in like-new condition with box and small draw-string bag. The build quality is excellent. Does anyone know much about these knives? It's called a Mini-Rukus but it's definitely not that mini. I haven't seen them before now. Here's a pic I took today.

I have #160 of the first production run of 1000; it was my first Axis lock knife and my first in S30V. For whatever reason, it is easier to hone than my other knives in that steel, takes a hair-splitting edge. It is a tad heavy for pocket carry but is impressively rugged. Have fun with yours!

The Rukus was discontinued a while ago, but it is one of the more well-regarded Benchmade models. You got a very good deal, since new plain-edge satin versions of either the full-size or mini are hard to come by - especially at a good price.

I’ve yet to handle one, but most people who have used them are very pleased with the model.

That model is a classic! I owned a mini 10 years ago. The clip was flimsy and would flex in any grip. But that was minor.

It is a handsome knife and has one of the best looking handles. A tad thick in hand as well near the forefinger area.

Its in my top five favorite Benchmade knives of all time .

Easily top 25 of all folders.

It is a steal at that price if it is not a fake. I am not saying it is fake but idk.

Never seen faked bm615. Congrats to great deal. Mini rukus is classic.

I have my mini Rukus still. It was one of my most carried edc s about 8-9 years ago. Excellent ergonomics for me. Great blade grind and great steel. And look at the op picture. Isn t that a gorgeous knife? It felt as good as it looks and it slices as well as it feels.
I think you got a good deal. Might carry mine for a while.

Benchmade knives in general are good knives. They went downhill in qc a few years ago tho, still love them but I don’t like them as much. Congratulation and I hope you enjoy your new knife. Oh and whatever you do, don’t let the omega springs rust, they are more likely to break that way.
