I'm gettin the itch for something new. I currently EDC a paramillie but I'm turned on by the mini ruckus and mini skirmish.

I need advice. Should I just extinguish my craving or go for something new? Based on performance should I just stay with the ever sturdy para or venture into the world of Benchmade. I've never owned one before.

I picked up a Mini-Rukus before Christmas, my first Benchmade, and am highly impressed with the knife and the company. Love the Axis lock. It's also my first knife with S30V, and I must confess I have never found a stainless blade that holds an edge better. It outperforms my previous benchmark, VG-10, in ease of sharpening and I can't tell the difference in edge holding. Blackwood's design of the Rukus series is both extremely functional and elegant.

This would be between the Para and the Mini Rukus for me. I favor Spyderco overall, but for these choices, I'd prefer the Mini Rukus. I really didn't like the Skirmish. It didn't feel very good to me in hand, but it seemed well built.

Mini Rukus all the way. Axis lock, great handle ergo's, S30V blade steel, what's not to like!

The Mini-Rukus and Paramilitary would be the two out of those three I'd choose just because I like their blade shapes and locks better, but the Mini-Skirmish has the recurved blade, titanium framelock, and S30V steel that the kids can't put down, so maybe you'll have to try them all (in your case, try the two Benchmades as you already have that Spydie goodness).
