Ive only owned full size Benchmades and ive never handled a Mini. I am now looking for a smaller knife with a handle that offers a full grip. Ive owned the 707 Sequel, but it was a bit too small for my size 10-11 hands.

Do the Mini-Griptilian, Mini-Barrage, Mini-Presidio, etc. offer a full grip or are they 3-finger knives?

Thanks,

With average sized hands, I can barely get 3 1/2 fingers on a Mini Griptilian, so I'd characterize it as a 3 finger knife. I've never owned a 707, but I think I've read that the Mini Grip is the same size.

Bummer. I was hoping for the same winning design of their bigger brothers in a smaller, yet full handled edc-friendly package.

Best thing you can do if you really want a Mini mate:)

I'd say the 525 is the best gripper of the lot (agree w/ 3 and a 1/2). The HK 14210 is the other 3"-er I'll carry, it has a massive ramp in front (call that 3.5 as well).

The mini is only 3 fingers for me but i have super wide palms and short fingers. But its the most comfortable 3 finger folder i own. The M4 version is absolutely the best deal running and the Mini Grip is always worth a try.

Mini grips are the same size as the 707 essentially.. but maybe a bit bigger.. and I mean a bit. The Presidio and Ultra Presidio give you a longer grip for sure. The Bone Collector is a inbetween I think.. verify on BM's website though.

I concur with Hawk, either the Mini Bone Collector or Presidio should give you a full grip. I wear a large to XL glove and can fit all of my fingers on there.

Thanks all. Im leaning towards the 525. I had the full sized Presidio, the 520, but i sold it cause it didnt see any use. I regret it now though, as it was a really good knife.

Hawk45: thanks for that comparison pic. The 525 is quite a bit bigger than the Mini-Grip.

Depends on the size of your hands...
I felt the same way about the 707 - really, really wanted to like it but it was just too small.
Barrage felt like a full-size fixed-blade in my XL to XXL hand. Just awesome, but too big to pocket-carry on a consistent basis.
I recently picked up a 586 Mini-Barrage. It's stricly a 3-finger affair, for me, but does not suffer for it. Feels like a sculpted ESEE3. It just works.
Mini-grip feels the slightest but small to me - probably more to do with thickness than actual andle length.

If you want a 525 get it now, they've been discontinued.

Also the Mini-Onslaught is hands-down the most comfortable folder I've ever held.
