I am interested in this knife, has anyone here got one and would like to tell me their opinion on how it performs?

The N690 is a pretty good steel, takes a decent edge and sharpens easily. The handle is completely made out of steel which means it gets slippery with wet hands. My Monochrome hasn't seen much pocket time as better knives soon entered my collection after I purchased it. The only other knife with a steel handle that I use is my Kershaw Leek, I really do prefer materials which provide more grip.

Take care!

I had a monochrome, but I gave it away. I can't really say anything bad about it, but it is very generic and boring.

It is the one-hand folder I carry most frequently.
The N690 is easy to sharpen and retains an edge on the order of 154CM.

The balance is superb. I have never found the handle slippery and have used it under all kinds of conditions.

The blade shape is not exciting. Until you use it for awhile and realize how useful it is for everyday chores. Then it's awesome.

I see it online for about $35. Has to be one of the best deals available.

Its a good value knife but nothing about it is particularly wowing. I got mine with partial serrations and a black coat. Deffinitely prefer the black color, although it has been nicked up and scratched which is to be expected if youre going to use it. Overall, if it was a choice between this and another knife I would look at something different but thats just a personal preference rather than any problems with the knife.
