i was on vacation last week in washington state, 30 miles north of OLYMPIA.
on the way home ( i live in CALIFORNIA) my truck went into auto pilot towards oregon city, OREGON, BENCHMADE knife co.
what a place, although i wasn't able to take a tour, i was so impressed by the courteous staff there.
the receptionist was very kind in answering any and all questions that i had.
she then introduced me to the salesman of law enforcement/ special ops division of their product line. as we talked, he showed me all the newest (2005) BM products. the automatic knives are truly a joy to handle, we can't have those kind of toys in california. while i was there i asked if they could replace the standard clip on my 705. to the deluxe split clip.with out any question they took my 705, replace it. taking a chance, i asked if they would do the same to my new in the box 943. again,a new clip was installed at no charge. truly, a benchmade-"my day" experience.
one of a kind knife, service, and company

wow people like that you dont find now a days when it comes to companys.....how ever i have noticed knife makers are some down right nice people....great story...

Great to hear these kind of stories! One of these days I'm going to visit both the Benchmade factory and the Spyderco factory!

very sweet story.
benchmade is definitely one of the best companies out there, imo.

a couple months ago i had hit the steel belt in a tire with my mini tsek
and had messed the middle of the edge and a touch of the serrations.

so i sent it back to lifesharp and noted that it was my fault,
and that if they wanted to charge me to get in touch with me.

no word, a month later my tsek is in my mailbox, factory sharp,
new clip (the old was scratched to heck), new clip screws (one old had stripped),
and in just great condition, back to edc.

cool beans.
