I just picked up, or rather ordered 5 minutes ago, a Benchmade Nagara for about $40. I had been looking at this knife for a while wondering if it was worth the $60-70 price tag, but when I saw it today for $40 I knew I had to get it.

Anybody have one, and have any reviews on it?

I recieved one yesterday. Is it worth 60-70? I'd say yes. Was it worth the $38 i paid? Hell yes.

I got the same deal. However I'm irritated with the blade play it has. O well, it's my little brother's Xmas present and he won't know the difference.

My blade seems plenty tight, but my anodizing is a little uneven. Dunno if I'm too picky though.

How much blade play does it have? A little flexing, or enough that it is visible?

i was so tempted to get it for 40.00,but i just cant do it with the word china on it.maybe ill break one day,get it & buff out that word...

I can agree with the feeling the play much more than seeing any. It still drives me crazy since I am used to my axis lock Benchmades which have no up and down play. Still it's a nice looking knife.

Yeah seriously. I just got my Kershaw Halfton in the mail and it has zero blade play. If an $8 Kershaw can do it, a $60 Benchmade can. Although Kershaw spoils me with their quality control and fit and finish so maybe my standards are to high for everybody else ;)

I got in on the gpknives.com deal, mine is tight as a drum. I where you I would send it in to Benchmade and let them fix it for you.

I think the Anodizing does change colors on this knife. This is my second Nagara and they both changed colors if I got them wet or oils on the TI scales.

Have you tried pinching the tip and moving it up and down? For me I didn't feel it when I tried at the base but at the tip I totally did.

I got a Nagara & it had NO blade play. The anodizing did change colors slightly. Great knife for the price.
