Benchmade new Mini Ruckus !!!

I just love the fact that a folder with a 3.4" blade can rightfully be called a "mini". :)

Can the scales be swaped out like the big one? I hope they have that in the works. Artfully Martial said it all.

One of the things I like most about the Rukus is its size. It is one of the very best for big folders. Once you downsize it, it drops into a size category that is already bursting with great knives.

Here's a relative side-by-side (using pics from their website)

Looks interesting indeed!

And this happens just when I had decided to get a mini skirmish after a couple of months of thinking about what knife to get... great :S

I am going to get one, mostly because the ruckus is a bit much in my pocket, I tried EDC'ing mine but it was just a little big and wide. I will buy one and give it a shot.

Its the perfect size. Right in the same market as the 420 Resistor, HK34 and others though. I wonder if one of those will be dropped from the line up now.

It is a more perfect size IMHO, I just wish Benchmade would come out with some more AXIS lock knives with all G-10 handles. Maybe they will release interchangable handle slabs to make it all G-10.

at around $200 it still has a healthy appetite for cash. Probably a decent return on investment I bet.

A great move by Benchmade. Gotta love that one.

Anyone know how the handle compares in thickness to the Large Rukus?

That is one that I would buy and I LIKE BIG FOLDERS but 7.7 oz of the Rukus in the pocket, I would rather have my Kel-Tec and a BM 710 or something with the axis that is not a weight.

Hey this should appeal to those who feel the big Ruckus was too big. The large happens to fit my large mittens perfectly. No complaints here. I am sure the junior will be a good one too.

From BM's site the weight of this knife still weighs in at a hefty and solid 5.9 ounces. I imagine some of the thickness from the 610 will be lost due to thinner blade stock and maybe thinner liners(?). As a 610 fan I could see this becoming an acqusition sonner or later.
