So I just recently bought the Benchmade Nimravus 140. I wasn't too sure about the benchmade fixed blades, but I think I made the right choice. Ill give a short review for I have not tested it out in the field, but I plan on doing so soon. This is my first knife review, so sorry if it's not that great

Sheath- The sheath is very well constructed. Its light not too bulky and is able to be attached to molle gear or a regular belt. The knife stays in the sheath very securely because of the plastic mold inside of the codura. The button snap stays secure and doesn't allow the knife to move around at all! I am very impressed with the sheath that was included

Nimravus- I am happy to say I made a good decision in purchasing this knife. Some people told me that the tang stuck out a little bit from the handle scales causing discomfort, but it looks like that is fixed. The tang is no longer sticking out from the handle. The handles are painted black aluminum and have a very good grip and feel to them. The handle is just a little smaller than I would have preferred, but not enough to cause it to be uncomfortable. The blade is 4.5 inches long and is made out of 154cm steel and is very sharp! the thickness of the blade could be the only thing that draws some people away at 0.115". Well I wasn't looking for a knife to cut a tree down with, but even though the blade is thinner than a lot of others I'm sure it will hold up very well when being used for light duty.

Overall- I give this knife a 9 out of ten because i would have liked to see the handle a little bit bigger, but that's not really a big issue. The knife is very light and is very easy to conceal. Having been overseas I wanted a knife that could be attached anywhere on my Gear without getting in the way of my weapon or ammunition and the Nimravus is the prefect size for it. Bushcraft may not be the purpose of this knife, but I'm sure it will do a great job in the field! I posted a picture of the Nimravus next to a SOG seal pup elite and benchmade 522 just to show how they compare in size.

As a bit of history, the name Nimravus was chosen by a contest. It was won by a Bladeforums regular, James Matthis (IIRC), who has since passed on.
