I just got a new benchmade stryker and when it is opened, i shake it something on the knife rattles and makes noise. Is this normal? Thanks!:o

My Kershaw AOs do this too. The Benchmade Nitrous system also employs a torsion bar, and my guess it that the bar is rattling when untensioned. You can fix the rattling by opening the knife and applying a generous coat of grease (I use Vaseline) within the cavity containing the bar.

I own a stryker and it doesn't make a sound. the spring portion on that knife is cut out of the liner, it's not a seperate bar like a kershaw, I don't see it rattling around unless it was broken.

yeah just send it in and Benchmade will make it right.

Mine had some blade play, but i fixed that myself. Probably from constantly opening it. It's an addictive knife!

I've heard that the rattling is pretty routine on that model.

All my stud lock kershaws rattle and it never bothered me.

There's a review on youtube where the guy had the same rattling problem. I believe he shows how to fix it.

That happened to me, but once I took it apart and reassembled it, it was fine. Do not try this unless you have no other option. It messes with your sanity.
