Just browsing my local Sportsman Warehouse and found the large Steigerwalt for only $31, a great deal, I think they messed up their pricing honestly, cause they got at New Graham for $56 and the knife is much nicer than a $31 piece. After carrying it a few days, I've decided it's nearly the perfect edc, slim, sharp as the dickens, high quality materials (the micarta is great) and really classy looking. My only complaint is the jimping along the lockback button and the fact that the backspacer doesnt run the length of the handle. Otherwise it's a really great deal, Sorry no photos, starving college guy here and I dont have a camera.

Dude! Great buy! I just ordered the 12405 for $50.

Question... so what is running the length of the handle? is it open?

It's hard to go wrong with BM quality.... they've never disappointed me.

The knife has an alluminum backspacer, but it only fills up the bottom third. the top third is filled by the locking mechanism, and the middle third is open. I think it would have looked nicer had the backspacer filled two thirds and eliminated the gap. But that's just my personal opinion. I really like the knife still.

I have the mini lockback. Got it for $22 online. The price must have been a mistake because a few days later the site I bought it from changed their price to $50+. Made me wish I bought 2. ;)

Steve, that's a great price! I have the small version and like it a lot. I think for 50+ you should get an adjustable pivot and I too don't like the jimping on the lock bar, but it's a good little knife that has a thin sharp flat ground blade. This was my first knife with micarta and I really like it.
