One of the first tactical knives I ever bought was a Heckler and Koch CQC7 type knife. The only markings on the blade were the Heckler and Koch logo, and it was obviously a CQC design. I immediately thought it was a Benchmade design, however now, for all I know, it could be a straight Emerson design. It was sold on eBay many years ago. I am not an Emerson collector, I have not shown any interest in any Emersons except for the Commander model, and am interested to find if this was a true Emerson or Benchmade Emerson. It had a black blade, black handle, and was half serrated if I remember correctly. It was a tanto blade, about the size of the Emerson CQC7's, but I am not an Emerson collector, so it might not even be a 7.

H&K is part of Benchmade. So I'm sure it's done by Benchmade in a collaboration with Emerson. Benchmade has been known to produce a bought companies existing collaborations out of contract with the original designer/knife maker.
