Benchmade or Spyderco's that will become highly sought

I have several Spyderco's that I want in addition to my collection that are discontinued and fetch a respectable price on the secondary market. My interests are the Benchmade Skirmish, Spyderco ATR, Spyderco Spyderhawk, and a Bradley 1, and possibly a CRK Sebenza. I'm looking for some super steels and cool handle materials. I saw a Damascus Stretch with nishjin handles.

Any discontinued Spyderco can go way up. Even the ones you never think will. It's mostly a guessing game, unless the model is very popular and suddenly cut. I've seen some surge up then after while drop off after that. It's just depending on demand and what the latest highly sought after discontinued models are.

Like Jill said, it really is a guessing game, but MOST discontinued Spydies are highly sought after. Almost all of them.

I really liked the original Chinook. I would like to have one now, but it ain't gonna happen. They seem to have dried up - I can't find the original first version anywhere.

I ask more so b/c it seems that nearly every knife I've seen and really liked was discontinued. I then began to wonder if that's part of the appeal. Rather than track down knives that haven't been made in 9 or more years I'm going to see if I can get ahead of my rarity obsession. I think a titanium Military would be a safe bet

Ya know, I kind of like the idea of carrying and using something rare, and I do it often. The only thing that sucks is if you break it or lose it, you're up the creek.
